Final Public Hearing on the Millage Rates and Budget for the 2007-2008 Fiscal Year (FY)

Approve the Resolution Adopting the Final Millage Rates and Budget.

Approve the Policies and Procedures for Lottery Funds.

Authorize staff to perform all tasks to ensure compliance with F. S. 200.065 (TRIM).
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On July 31, 2007, the First Public Hearing was held to discuss and adopt the FY 2007-2008 proposed millage rates and tentative budget, as advertised in the Tampa Tribune on Saturday, July 28, 2007. In accordance with the Truth in Millage (TRIM) requirements, the Board must hold a final public hearing 65-80 days after the Property Appraiser certifies the tax roll to allow for any public discussion. The proposed millage rate for 2007-2008 is 7.5230 mills, the maximum rate allowed by law.

This action is required to comply with the Truth in Millage (TRIM) requirements of Section 200.065, Florida Statutes.
