EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Otis passenger elevators in the Raymond O. Shelton School Administrative Center (ROSSAC) building were installed when the building was constructed in 1980. Many of their components are now past the age at which they can be reliably maintained. Otis Elevator has provided a cost proposal for a turn-key elevator modernization project. The project will provide a new microprocessor controller system, remote elevator monitoring, solid state drive, ADA code upgrades, elevator safety code upgrades, hoistway operating devices, new cab interiors, and other modernization features. The upgrades will allow the two passenger elevators to provide the same level of service as three elevators.
