This project is being planned by the architectural firm of Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects. On June 15, 2004, the Board appointed the construction management firm of the Beck Group. This new facility will be a reuse of the Alonso High School design. As of the current boundaries, relief will be provided for East Bay High School and the South County area.

Approval of the guaranteed price will provide a maximum cost for the facility. Project completion is scheduled for July 24, 2006.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 - Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.

Construction cost is warranted at $35,159,855 which includes $2,280,675 for construction of the athletic facility. The total construction budget including the athletic facility is $35,159,855 with funding being derived from the following sources: $32,879,180 from Community Investment Tax 2004 (new facility), and $2,280,675 from Certificates of Participation Series 2004C (athletic facility).
