Approve Renewal Contract with West Coast Officials Association, Inc. for Athletic Contests, 2005–2006 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This is a negotiated agreement with the local officials’ association for the purpose of providing varsity and junior varsity football and basketball officials for scheduled high school and middle school contests. Officiating fees were increased $2-$5 per official/per game at the recommendation of the Florida High School Athletic Association.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The contract amount of $169,233 is included in the Division of Curriculum and Instruction Athletics Department budget. The increase of $13,056 from last year’s contract is attributed to the increase of officiating fees of $2-$5 per official/per game as recommended by the Florida High School Athletic Association. The cost increase has been covered within the athletic budget.
