Approve Fee Schedule for Postsecondary Technical Fees, 2010/2011 (Adult Technical Education)

We request approval of the schedule for postsecondary technical fees established for adult students attending technical courses or programs offered through the district.

Approved fees are collected from full-time and part-time adult students for technical Workforce Education classes, consumable supplies, tests, lab fees, and other cost-recovery charges. In addition, the schedule includes fees for individuals and companies who do not qualify for Workforce Education funds but wish to access the courses at their own expense.

The fees have been adjusted to provide for changes in cost of purchased materials required for adult technical courses. Careful attention has been given to maintaining a reasonable fee schedule ensuring that all expenses are met including rising costs of current programs and start-up costs for new programs. The goal is to provide the highest quality educational opportunities for our students.

Fees collected are receipted in individual school internal accounts to cover costs incurred by the school.
