SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Partnership with AT&T Advertising and Publishing Corporation (AT&T) for a One-Year Period to Enhance Communication Efforts with Parents (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A continuation of the partnership with AT&T Advertising and Publishing was approved by the Board on January 12, 2010. Attachments reflect the information that will appear in the new directory, as well as a copy of the current Barter Agreement.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
* Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
The partnership has no financial impact on the district budget. The advertising space within the directory is valued at $46,698. Banners will be displayed at middle and high schools, grades 6 - 12, in exchange for the advertising space devoted to Hillsborough County Public Schools within the directory.
EVALUATION
The Community Yellow Pages section consistently scored in the sixty percent (60%) range with respect to usage, based on research conducted by Strategic Metrics, Inc. The evaluation noted that if the section was considered a yellow pages heading, such as "Restaurants" or "Physicians," it would be one of the top six most referenced headings in the directory. There are a total of 2,642 headings in the Tampa Edition.
