SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Right-of-Way Dedications on Gallagher Road in Dover to Florida Department of Transportation at Strawberry Crest High School and David E. Bailey, Jr. Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As part of the overall construction of Strawberry Crest High School and David E. Bailey, Jr. Elementary School in Dover, the School Board of Hillsborough County was required by the Florida Department of Transportation to construct certain roadway improvements on Gallagher Road. These improvements required acquisitions of land from adjacent property owners as additional rights-of-way. These acquisitions were approved by the School Board on May 5, 2009.

The documentation required for the right-of-way conveyances was prepared by the FDOT and reviewed and approved by the School Board real estate attorney and deemed acceptable.

There is no cost to the School Board for the right-of-way dedications for roadway improvements on Gallagher Road in Dover at Strawberry Crest High School and David E. Bailey, Jr. Elementary School.
