Approve Award of Contract for Roof Replacement at
Mann Middle School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On October 20, 2009, the Board appointed the engineering firm of Weber and Tinnen, PA to provide design services. The scope of work provides for roof, edge metal, and roof drain replacement on selected buildings.

The project was advertised and bids received (see attachment). Award of the contract as indicated on the attachment for the base bid and unit price items to the lowest qualified bidder, Quality Roofing, Inc., is recommended.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Total funds in the amount of $698,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage. The contract amount being awarded is $698,000.
