EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Board previously appointed Carastro & Associates, Inc. and Vogel Bros. Building Co. to provide engineering and construction management services. The scope of work provides for the replacement of the existing cooling and heating plant with a new plant incorporating air cooled chillers and thermal ice storage tanks. The project also provides for the upgrade of energy management controls; replacement of air-handlers, ductwork, lights, and ceilings; campus-wide power upgrades to support the new equipment; and correction of minor code deficiencies. The Board has previously approved the purchase of major equipment for the project.
Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost is warranted at $6,400,000. The construction budget is $6,372,656. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Construction ($1,960,838) and Local Millage ($4,411,818).
