We request approval to submit a grant application for FIN. The major goals for 2010/2011 include increases in learning gains for students with disabilities in reading, math, writing, and science within the least restrictive environment and increases in family centered activities sponsored by FIN.

FIN collaborates with the Division of Curriculum and Instruction in providing district and school-based workshops and learning opportunities for all teachers, both in exceptional and general education positions, Pre-K through 12th grade. FIN provides support to all schools by meeting the needs of diverse learners in general education classrooms, providing continuous school-based technical assistance and follow-up, and sharing current research information and resources with all personnel, which results in the inclusion of all students and increased student outcomes. If approved, grant funds of $212,000 will be included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget, FIN grant.

Performance evaluation measures are determined by the FDOE. The completed annual state performance report will be completed in December 2011. The results of the evaluation will be shared with all stakeholders.
