Approve Temporary Construction Easements Between the School Board of Hillsborough County and Hillsborough County as Part of the School Safety Circulation and Access Program for Roadway Improvements at Boyette Springs, Carrollwood, Dickenson, Morgan Woods, Twin Lakes and Bing Elementary Schools and Leto High School

At the September 18, 2007, the School Board of Hillsborough County received an information item regarding the School Safety Circulation and Access Program (SSCAP) that was developed by Hillsborough County Public Works. SSCAP is a program which identifies traffic circulation issues near existing schools and specifies roadway improvements designed to provide safer conditions. The improvements will be constructed and funded through Hillsborough County by the Community Investment Tax.

In order to move forward with the required improvements during the summer months, Temporary Construction Easements need to be granted to the County for permission to enter School Board property to complete these on-site and/or right-of-way projects. There will be additional school campuses requiring these same improvements and the appropriate documentation will be brought to the School Board for approval at future meetings.

Approval of the Temporary Construction Easements with Hillsborough County will have no financial impact to the School Board.
