EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
To support implementation of computer-based high stakes testing, the District is converting one or two classrooms at each school to a High Stakes Testing Lab. Modification of electrical, data, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems associated with each lab is needed to support the classroom conversion. Staff has planned to accomplish the work in three phases, with the work in each phase divided into two projects. This project accomplishes a portion of the lab installations included in the first phase.
On October 20, 2009, the Board appointed Howard & Associates Architects, P.A./Carruthers & Associates-Architects, P.A. and HCBeck, Ltd. to provide design and construction management services for one of the Phase 1 projects. The scope of work provides for the required modifications at multiple school sites. Project completion is scheduled for August 20, 2010.
Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for the project.
