Recognition of Bright House Networks Volunteer Youth Service Awards Winners (Secondary Education-Curriculum and Instruction Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We would like to recognize the winners of the Bright House Networks Volunteer Youth Service Award for 2010. The Bright House Networks Volunteer Youth Service Award was established to honor high school students who distinguished themselves as a result of their outstanding volunteer work in the community. Bright House Networks has made this award program available since the 2000/2001 school year. Application forms were sent to each high school in Hillsborough County at the beginning of the school year. Students in grades 9-12 with a minimum 2.5 grade point average (GPA) and a minimum of 50 volunteer hours were eligible to apply for this award. Applicants were requested to submit an essay describing their community volunteer activities in 500 words which a panel of employees of Bright House Networks reviewed.

Award winners each received a laptop computer and four tickets to a Tampa Bay Rays game.
