SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Grant Application to the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) and, if Approved, Accept Funds for the SED Network (SEDNET) Project and Approve the Memorandum of Understanding for Success 4 Kids and Families, 2010/2011 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval to submit a grant application for the SEDNET Project. The project is designed to provide resources for the coordination of educational, therapeutic, and social services for students enrolled in the program for emotional/behavioral disabled (E/BD) students and their families. Success 4 Kids and Families will serve as fiscal agent for this project (see Memorandum of Understanding attached).
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
* Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates, * Motivate students to become responsible learners, * Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum, * Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
If approved, grant funds of $128,000 will be included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs grant, SEDNET.
EVALUATION
Performance evaluation measures are determined by the FDOE, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services.
