SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Amendment of Financial Impact to Board Agenda Item for Adoption of Recommended Titles as Flexibility Instructional Materials for Middle and Secondary Reading Programs (Secondary Education)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We request approval to amend the projected financial impact statement on agenda item A 1.03 approved February 9, 2010, for the instructional materials listed on the attached memorandum.

The additional reading materials are necessary to adequately support our middle and secondary reading programs and were initially omitted due to an anticipated decrease in state funding.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The amended estimated cost for this five-year county adoption (February 2010-June 2015) is $900,000.
