Approve Termination of Contracts with Greater Bay Construction Company, Inc. for Various Projects

Greater Bay Construction Company, Inc. was previously appointed by the Board or selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide construction management services for multiple projects. For the projects listed below, Greater Bay has failed to pay subcontractors for work for which Greater Bay has been paid. Greater Bay has been provided the contractually required notice of the District's intent to terminate the respective contracts, but has failed to correct this serious contract deficiency. Staff therefore recommends the termination of contracts with Greater Bay Construction Company, Inc. for cause, for the following projects:

Davidsen Middle School Classroom Addition

Davis Elementary School Classroom Addition

Doby Elementary School Canopy Extension

Hammond Elementary School

Lake Magdalene Elementary School Renovation

Lutz Elementary School Classroom Addition

Seminole Elementary School Cafeteria HVAC, Windows, and Site Work

Staff also recommends termination of the contract with Greater Bay Construction Company, Inc. for the provision of construction management services on a continuing basis.
