Approve Agreement for Donation of Potable Water Facilities to the City of Tampa for a Fire Line at West Tampa Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As part of the campus modifications for West Tampa Elementary School, the School Board was required to install certain potable water facilities for a fire line in the City of Tampa's service area. This separate line was necessary to service the new fire sprinkler system for Building 8 at the School. The plans for the fire line were submitted by the School Board to the City of Tampa's Water Department and approved. This Agreement requires the School Board to donate these facilities to the City and the City will assume ownership, maintenance, and operation and the School Board will guarantee the facilities against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of thirteen months.

The approval of the Agreement to donate the fire line facilities to the City of Tampa will have no financial impact to the School Board.
