Accept the Lowest and Best Bid Submitted by US Foodservice - Invitation to Bid (ITB) #10027-DST Prime Vendor - Student Nutrition Services (Business Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This bid was prepared at the request of the Student Nutrition Services Department to establish a "cost plus fixed fee per carton" contract for delivery of frozen, refrigerated, grocery, and dry foods to individual school sites. A separate "jobber fee per case" for commodity foods was also requested. Award of this bid shall be for a one-year period to the lowest overall bidder.

Funds of approximately $21,000,000 will be available in the Student Nutrition Services Department budget for the Prime Vendor contract.

EVALUATION

Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
