Discretionary Lottery Reports (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The 1996 Florida Legislature adopted an amendment to Section 24.121, Florida Statutes, requiring local school districts to make available to the public a quarterly report displaying discretionary lottery revenue and expenditures. For the period ending June 30, 2010, Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) expended $129,487. Lottery funds are used to:
- support the School Improvement Program
- develop and implement school improvement plans, and
- enhance existing funding to charter schools in Hillsborough County

The District has expended lottery dollars for the quarter ended June 30, 2010, as shown on the attached report.
