Approve Additional Restructuring of the Career and Technical Education Department

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On June 15, 2010, the School Board approved a restructuring of the Career and Technical Education, Adult Technical Education, and Adult and Community Education departments. Our continued efforts to evaluate the organizational structure of several programs/departments and various job responsibilities have resulted in additional changes in the Career, Technical, and Adult Education Department. The proposed changes are geared toward improving the instructional opportunities and outcomes for students. This process will result in cost savings to the district.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The restructuring detailed in this item will result in a savings of $61,677.65-Part 1 funds; $17,622.18-Perkins Grant funds; $8,811.09-Workforce funds for a total savings of $88,110.92.
