Recognize MORE HEALTH, Inc. for its 20 Years of Teaching Health Education and Veronica Lopez, the 2 Millionth Student Participating in the Hands-On Interactive Lessons (Elementary Education – Curriculum and Instruction)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

MORE HEALTH, Inc. started as a Tampa Junior League Project in the late 1980’s and has taught health and injury prevention education in Tampa Bay’s public and private schools for the past 20 years. Tampa General Hospital began lending its support to the organization early on by becoming its first sponsor, and that partnership continues to this day. MORE HEALTH, Inc. currently offers 23 K-12 health and injury prevention lessons which include basics about dental care, firearm safety, nutrition, bicycle and pedestrian safety as well as many others.

On May 20, 2010, MORE HEALTH, Inc. celebrated 20 years of teaching health education and recognized Veronica Lopez, student at Muller Elementary Magnet, who was the 2 millionth student participating in the hands-on interactive lessons.
