Approve Disposal of Mowing Equipment (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Due to the implementation of the contracted mowing services, there exists mowing equipment that will no longer be required. This equipment will be removed and evaluated for possible replacement or enhancement to other district facilities. After a preliminary review of what can be reassigned, the attached list of items has been identified and will be sold at auction.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
* Demonstrate best financial practices
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Approximately one-half of the John Deere mowers and about two-thirds of the Toro mowers to be retrieved from the contracted schools will be reassigned to other existing schools and sites. This will result in a considerable savings in replacement and new purchase costs. The Fixed Assets Master File will be reduced by the net book value of $2,198.98. All proceeds received from the auction will be deposited into the General Fund.
