EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Since 2005, DBA Services have been provided by Database Optimization Services. These services have supported our implementation of the Lawson applications, Student Information System, Merit Award Program (MAP), and Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF). Joel Gross is the sole proprietor of Database Optimization Services. This Agreement for Technical Services provisions Joel Gross as a dedicated full-time DBA in order to support day-to-day operations and new systems development for the District. The DBA responsibilities include trouble shooting, improving performance, and reliability of the District's databases, database logical modeling and physical design, performance tuning, maintenance, capacity planning, disaster recovery planning and testing, data migrations, software maintenance testing, and upgrades.
The Florida State Information Technology (IT) Consulting Services contract includes hourly rates for over 250 vendors. The hourly rate on the State Contract for Expert Database Administrator ranges from $80-$146 per hour with an average of $120 per hour. This direct contract with Joel Gross saves the District 16% off the lowest offered state rate for the specified services.
