On February 13, 2007, the Board appointed Rowe Architects, Inc. and J.B.D. Construction, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities includes repair of roof leaks, repairs to plaster walls, interior painting, installation of fire sprinklers and new parent drop-off, upgrades to emergency lighting, telephone, voice/data, closed circuit television (CCTV), and security systems, replacement of fire alarm system and instructional aids, removal of carpet and refinishing of existing hardwood floors, and handicap upgrades to door hardware, thresholds, and building entries.

Approval of the design development phase will allow the architect to proceed with construction documents. Project completion is scheduled for the 2008-09 school year.

The project is currently funded at $1,430,000. The estimate of probable cost is $1,430,000. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: 2 Mill.
