On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Holmes Hepner and Associates Architects and Greater Bay Construction Co., Inc. to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Bellamy, Lowry, Morgan Woods, Town and Country, and Woodbridge Elementary Schools. These additions were necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provides for the following additions: 16 classrooms at Bellamy, 18 classrooms at Lowry, 10 classrooms at Morgan Woods, 10 classrooms at Town and Country, and 10 classrooms at Woodbridge. These additions were ready for occupancy in August 2006.

Change Order No. 4 provides credits for project savings and the return of unused contingency funds. Change Order No. 5 provides an adjustment to the final reconciliation of the Direct Purchase Program.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

These items are included in the District Capital Outlay and are funded as follows: $5,485,309.89 for Classrooms for Kids (Bellamy, Lowry, Morgan Woods, and Town and Country Elementary Schools), $49,265.00 for 2 Mill Matching Funds (Lowry Elementary School Covered Walkway), and $1,177,868.99 for Certificates of Participation Series 2002 (Woodbridge Elementary School).
