Approve Agreement for Educational Services with Florida Institute for Community Studies, Inc. (FICS) (Adult and Community Education)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We request approval of the Agreement for Educational Services with Florida Institute for Community Studies, Inc., (FICS) to provide adult general education and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes to their clients through December 21, 2007. The agreement can be extended annually by agreement of both agencies.

This standard agreement provides local agencies with a model for cooperation and assurances that the agencies involved are fully committed to the coordination of educational services delivery for adults.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The cost for educational and testing services is included in general operating budget for Workforce Education.

EVALUATION

Enrollment and completion data of students enrolled in this site will be reviewed annually to determine the appropriateness of continuation of services.
