EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Long and Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and R.J. Bunbury Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Crestwood, Egypt Lake, Mendenhall, and Tampa Bay Boulevard Elementary Schools. The scope of work provided for the following additions: 20 classrooms at Crestwood, 12 classrooms at Egypt Lake, 14 classrooms at Mendenhall, and 16 classrooms at Tampa Bay Boulevard. These additions were necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. On September 20, 2005, the Board approved the guaranteed maximum price. Due to budget and cost issues, Roosevelt Elementary School, which was formerly in Package 3, is being handled separately and will be accepted at a later date.
This change order provides a credit for project savings.
The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
