EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On November 9, 2006, the Board appointed Harvard Jolly, Inc. and Greater Bay Construction Co., Inc. to provide design and construction management services. This addition is necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provides for the addition of 12 classrooms. Project completion is scheduled for August 4, 2008.
Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for the facility.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost is warranted at $2,077,794, which includes $230,614 for extraordinary conditions (brick exterior, excessive tree removal, rerouting of sanitary lines, pressure grouting, sunshades, site access). The construction budget is $2,077,800. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids.
