Recognition of Principals for Camp SPARKS (Special Parks and Recreation Kids) (Curriculum and Instruction Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Department, Therapeutic Section, would like to recognize the principals of Citrus Park, Hunters Green, and Turner Elementary Schools; Adams and Burns Middle Schools; and Plant City High School for their commitment and dedication to the Camp SPARKS program.

Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Department, Therapeutic Section, in cooperation with the District and various private agencies has offered recreation and social activities to mentally and physically disabled citizens since 1994. Camp SPARKS, a summer day camp for children ages 6 to 22, serves approximately 250 children throughout Hillsborough County. The 8 to 10 week program provides activities such as sports, games, cooking, and arts and crafts along with special guests, swimming, and field trips.
