Approve the Interlocal Agreement for Upper Tampa Bay Trail Crossing of Hammond Elementary School Campus

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department is seeking to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with the School Board to permit a portion of the Upper Tampa Bay Trail to be constructed within a TECO easement that exists along the eastern boundary of the Hammond Elementary School campus. The trail will be separated from the school campus by a chain link fence with a lockable security gate controlled by Hammond Elementary School staff. The Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department will assume full responsibility for maintenance and operation of the trail.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)

Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department assumes all responsibility for construction and maintenance funding and there will be no financial impact on the District.
