On March 8, 2005, the Board appointed the architectural firm of Ruyle Hayes + Jennewein Architects P.A. to provide design services for a new gymnasium. On September 15, 2006, the scope of design services was expanded to provide for the replacement of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system as a separate project. The design scope was subsequently expanded to include interior repainting and replacement of floor finishes. On February 27, 2007, the Board awarded the contract for the HVAC replacement and interior refinishing to the low bidder, Air Mechanical and Service Corporation.

This change order provides for additional replacement flooring, a new acoustical ceiling, additional emergency exit lights for code compliance, and new conduit supports to correct unforeseen conditions. A time extension is included to provide an allowance for permitting delays.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
