EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Cooperative Agreement stipulates that the Department of Adult and Community Education will provide a Family Literacy Program that provides a 5-prong integrated approach to address workforce and literacy needs of parents and children. This program offers a full range of educational services, parenting skills, pre-vocational training, parent involvement activities, and workforce readiness skills.
In exchange for the use of classroom space at Kimmins Family Learning Center, the district agrees to pay 70% of the monthly utilities at the facility, approximately $12,000.
For the 2006/2007 school year, Kimmins Family Learning Center served approximately 162 students and earned $80,950 in Workforce Education Funding.
