SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Authorize the Disposal of Thirty-Four Surplus or Damaged Vehicles from the Fleet Maintenance Section of the Transportation Department
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
These vehicles have been deemed no longer needed because of accident, damage, age, or condition and are no longer economically feasible for repair. These vehicles have been stripped of all usable parts for use on other vehicles. The vehicles will be sold using the services of the Tampa Machinery Auction. If no bid is obtained, the vehicles will be sold as scrap metal.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
The goals of financial management are achieved with this recommendation as these vehicles are no longer economically feasible for continued use.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Monies received from the Tampa Machinery Auction will be directed back into the Transportation Shop Funds.
