SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The project was planned by the engineering firm of KBA Engineering, Inc. On May 8, 2007, the Board awarded the contract to the low bidder, Alarm & Communications Systems, Inc. The scope of work provided for replacement of the fire alarm and intercom systems at Bing and Hunter's Green Elementary Schools, Lincoln Magnet Elementary School, and Stewart Middle School, replacement of the intercom system at Robinson Elementary School, and replacement of the fire alarm system at Durant High School.
Change Order No. 1 provides for an additional control valve in the gas supply for Lincoln Magnet Elementary School and an additional magnetic curtain release in the kitchen at Durant High School and a 6 calendar day time extension to complete the work.
The engineer advised that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
