SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On November 9, 2006, the Board appointed Ranon & Partners, Inc. Architects and Ellis Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for the Classroom and Field House Addition and Remodel at Armwood High School. On September 18, 2007, the Board approved the amendment of the existing agreements with the architect and construction manager to include the recently funded renovation project. The renovation of existing facilities includes correction of code and safety deficiencies; roof replacement; replacement of data, closed circuit television (CCTV), fire alarm, intercom and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; new signage, ceiling tiles, lighting and flooring; repair or replacement of damaged casework; upgrades to existing electrical and security systems; interior repainting; repair, cleaning and sealing of exterior brick, and repainting of other exterior surfaces; restroom and kitchen renovations; new stadium lighting; new playcourts; replacement of auditorium seating; and limited replacement of instructional aids. Project completion is scheduled for August 2009.
Approval of the schematic design and design development phases will allow the architect to proceed with construction documents.

The project is currently funded at $26,315,224. The estimate of probable cost is $26,315,224. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: 2 Mill.
