SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Amendments to the Universal Route Standards in the Transportation Department That Will be Implemented in August of 2008 (Attachment Revised)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Transportation Reorganization Plan was begun in August 2007 in Area V. The Transportation Reorganization Plan in Areas I, II and IV will be launched in 2008. The goal of the Universal Route Standards is to further assist in the efficient use of Hillsborough County Public School buses through efficiency, accountability, and safety. These amendments fall in line with the recommendations made by Management Partnership Services and will be applied to all seven areas. These amendments touch upon such matters as bus passes, processing changes, and conceptual strategies.

These amendments are commensurate with the Transportation Reorganization Plan

EVALUATION
The Transportation Department will evaluate and improve the standards as part of the continuous improvement process.
