EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project was planned by the architectural firm of Gottfried + Garcia Architects, AIA, PA. On January 13, 2004, the Board appointed the construction management firm of SL Construction & Remodeling, Inc. On October 19, 2004, a joint venture between SL Construction & Remodeling, Inc. and Manhattan Construction Company was approved to ensure the availability of sufficient resources to meet all project requirements. The renovation of existing facilities provided new floor, wall, and ceiling finishes, including casework. Also included was the replacement of much of the electrical and mechanical systems. Site work consisted of correcting drainage issues and minor landscaping improvements. Included in the scope of work was remodeling the existing administration building into classrooms. A replacement for the administration building was included in the design.
The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
