EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
District staff has been advised by the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority (the "Expressway Authority") that as of May 6, 2008 they will no longer be continuing their lease with the City of Tampa for the parking lots adjacent to the Raymond O. Shelton School Administrative Center ("ROSSAC"). These parking lots have been referred to as "City Lots 1, 2 and 3" and have been subleased by the School Board since 1976 from the City of Tampa for parking by District personnel located at ROSSAC. These lots contain 221 parking spaces and are extremely important to the District for continuation of its present employee parking configuration.
As downtown Tampa experiences growth in new office space, parking will become less available and the District needs to secure these sites for uninterrupted administrative and business purposes.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The previous lease cost for City Lots 1, 2 and 3 was $67,000 per year; $25.26 per space per month. The new cost will be $70,000 per year; $26.39 per space per month. This would be an increase of $1.13 per space per month. The funds for the lease will be derived from General Operating Funds.
