Approve Amendment #2 of the Contract Between Early Childhood School Readiness Programs and Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay for School Readiness Services (Student Services & Federal Programs Division)

By virtue of this contract, Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay delivers child care services to low-income families participating in the School Readiness Program. The term of the contract is July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008. Amendment #2 is written to change a floating holiday from May 23, 2008, to June 6, 2008, to accommodate a change in Provider’s schedule and to change the contact name to reflect that of the new president, Brad Baumgardner.

Goal 5 – The District will eliminate the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.

The original total funding of $3,680,300 remains unchanged and will be utilized for the care of approximately 1,937 children from income-eligible families at the average annual school age rate of $1,900 per child.

Each year the financial statements are audited by Hillsborough County School Readiness Coalition as prescribed by law. The funding for Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County is provided through federal dollars. The flow-through dollars are channeled by the Agency for Workforce Innovations. The School Readiness Program uses these funds to purchase child care in Hillsborough County. There is no district-generated revenue used for this purchase.
