SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Credit Amount of $4,463,273.85 for
Steinbrenner High School, New Facility

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On July 26, 2005, the Board appointed Sylla, Inc. and HCBeck, Ltd. to provide design and construction management services. This new facility is a reuse of the Middleton High School design. As of the current boundaries, relief will be provided for Alonso, Gaither, and Sickles High Schools.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District, in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Certificates of Participation Series 2004C ($8,054,496) and 2006 ($39,035,771).
