On February 13, 2007, the Board appointed John J. McKenna Architect P.A. and The Morganti Group, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. Planned interior work includes accessibility improvements to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements; upgrades to lighting, the fire alarm system, and signage to meet current standards; general painting and ceiling replacement throughout the campus; the addition of fire sprinklers for Building 1; and replacement of marker boards and cabinets where needed. Exterior work includes roof repairs, and ingress and egress improvements. Project completion is scheduled for December 15, 2008.

Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for the project.

Construction cost is warranted at $3,899,854. The construction budget is $4,380,000. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Construction 06-07.
