EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
District staff has been notified of the availability of 609 North Vermont Street, Plant City, which is adjacent to Jackson Elementary School. The long-time owner of this residence, Edna Butler, was closely involved with Jackson Elementary and desired that the property one day be sold to the District to enhance the campus of the school. As part of Edna Butler's estate, her children have contacted District staff to negotiate a sale of the property.
An appraisal has been completed on the subject property and staff has negotiated an offer with the present owners and they have accepted the established value of $150,000 as the purchase price.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Funds in the amount of $150,000 plus closing costs will be derived from 2 Mill Funds.
