These projects are being planned by the architectural firm of Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Inc. On June 7, 2005, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Batson-Cook Company, Inc. As of the current boundaries, relief will be provided for Bevis, FishHawk Creek, Boyette Springs and Sessums Elementary Schools and Randall and Rodgers Middle Schools. Project completion is scheduled for August 11, 2009.

As a result of delays in site acquisition, the project is being completed later than originally planned. Budgets and costs reflect construction price increases that have occurred since approval of the construction management agreement in 2005, and include a corresponding increase in the construction manager's fee.

Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for the facilities.

Construction cost for Elementary School "L" is warranted at $12,019,600. The construction budget is $12,092,778. Construction cost for Middle School "SS" is warranted at $18,700,347. The construction budget is $20,419,009. These items are included in the District Capital Outlay: Certificates of Participation Series 04C ($10,740,915) and Impact Fees ($1,278,685) for Elementary School "L" and Certificates of Participation Series 06A/07 for Middle School "SS."
