SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Categorical Funding with the State of Florida, Department of Health, for School Health Services (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This categorical funding is provided annually through the State General Revenue dollars. The allocation for the 2008/2009 school year is $485,802. The $485,802 will be used to fund RN School Nurse positions.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Goal 5 – The District will eliminate the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
$485,802 – From the General Appropriations Act, Human Services Budget (State of Florida General Revenue Dollars).
EVALUATION
The annual report and plan are submitted to the Department of Health. Data is collected from monthly reports submitted by school nurses.
