On January 17, 2006, the Board appointed The Architectural Practice, Inc. and Ellis Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for Deer Park Elementary School. This new facility, was a reuse of the Collins Elementary School design, was occupied in August 2007 and relieved overcrowding at Bryant Elementary School. On February 13, 2007, the Board approved the guaranteed maximum price for site work associated with the new school. The site work project included onsite and offsite utilities, paving, and earthwork required for the construction of the school.

This change order provides credits for project savings and return of unused contingency funds. A time extension for 104 calendar days is included to accommodate additional landscaping and site work added to the contract.

The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
