Approve Change Order No. 8 in the Amount of $11,547.22 Extra and Acceptance of Project for
Roosevelt Elementary School, Classrooms for Kids Package 3

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and R.J. Bunbury Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Crestwood, Egypt Lake, Mendenhall, and Roosevelt Elementary Schools. Due to schedule and budget issues related to the City of Tampa Architectural Review Committee's requirements, a separate construction schedule and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the Roosevelt Elementary School addition was approved by the Board on July 11, 2006. The scope of work provides for the addition of 8 primary classrooms and replacement of the fire alarm and intercom systems throughout the existing facility.

This change order provides for final reconciliation of the Direct Purchase Program.

The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
