Approve Award of Contract for HVAC Renovation at
Lanier Elementary School and Tomlin Middle School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Consulting Engineering Associates, Inc. was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide engineering services. The scope of work provides for modification of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system in Building 100 at Lanier Elementary School and Buildings 600 and 700 at Tomlin Middle School. The project was advertised and bids received (see attachment). The low bidder, Serge's Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc., is recommended. Project completion is scheduled for August 18, 2008.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Total funds in the amount of $268,800 are included in the District Capital Outlay: Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Maintenance. The contract amount being awarded is $177,202.
