The Business Division has identified a firm that the School Board and District can work with to perform an Accounts Payable Recovery Audit. Weisman and Associates, Inc. works with clients on a contingency basis; their compensation is 25% of overpayments that are recovered through vendor refunds. Their initial project will be limited to a review of top suppliers for a total of 50 million dollars in expenditures. This contract is a “piggyback” to a General Services Administration Agreement GS-23F-0240P. Weisman and Associates, Inc. is a small business owned by a disabled veteran that is headquartered in Tampa. We, hereby, request that the services of Weisman and Associates, Inc. be retained and permission granted to proceed with a limited Accounts Payable Audit.

All District Goals and Critical Success Factors

There is no cost for these services. Any recovery dollars beyond the 25% fee would come back to the District.

Weisman and Associates, Inc. will provide supporting documentation for all debits. Evaluation data will be utilized for program review and possible audit expansion.
