Authorize the Defense of the School Board in Renee Anderson vs. Hillsborough County School Board
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Case No.: 8:08-CV-722-T-24MSS is a lawsuit, brought on behalf of a student who claims she was wrongfully denied access to information which she needed in connection with a change of placement proceeding. Pending Board approval, the matter has been referred to Joyner & Jordan-Holmes, which is on the previously approved list of litigation attorneys for the Board and has experience in change of placement matters. If the defense is approved by the Board, the firm of Joyner & Jordan-Holmes will continue representation of the Board.
Complaint alleging damages for violation of the plaintiff’s fundamental right to due process as guaranteed by the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution pursuant to 42 USC § 1983.
