Employee Direct Deposit - Instructional Substitutes (Business Office)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

For many years, our School District has offered employees the benefit of direct deposit of their payroll funds to any financial institution. Employee participation in the district direct deposit program has grown over the years to the current level of approximately 89 percent. For the time being, the remaining 11 percent, or approximately 2,700 employees, continue to have system generated checks that are mailed to their homes.

The next phase of the direct deposit marketing campaign will include a new method of check distribution for Instructional Substitutes not yet participating. Effective, with the July 18, 2008, pay date, the District will no longer mail out paychecks for Instructional Substitute employees that are not participating in the direct deposit program. Beginning on July 18, 2008, these employees will be allowed to pick up paychecks at the ROSSAC Building and complete the paperwork necessary to participate in the direct deposit program.

This phase of the direct deposit campaign plan will consist of:

  • Mailers to all Instructional Substitutes not participating in direct deposit.
  • Partnering with financial institutions to continue offering our employees banking options.
  • ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
